Obituary of William Lewis Cave
The death of William (Bill) L. Cave of Saint John, NB occurred on July 13, 2004, at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late William and Eva (Cameron) Cave. Bill started work with Irving Oil then switched to Irving Pulp and Paper, where he retired with 23 years of service. He was a member of Legion Branch 87, and 58. Bill loved sports particularly basketball and softball, he was co-founder of the River Valley Little League and coached basketball at the YMCA. Bill was also a proud member of the Class of 57, Saint John Vocational School. He is survived by two sons, W. Michael Cave (Jean), Rothesay, NB, James E. Cave, Quebec, and one daughter Shelly Facey (Keith), Quispamsis, NB, and the children's mother, Laurel Graves, four grandchildren, David, Anthony, and Shelby Cave, and Sean Facey, one sister Rose Marie Short (Glen), also several cousins nieces and one nephew. Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) in charge of arrangements. Visiting to be held in St Paul's Anglican Church, Oak Point, NB, Friday, July 16, 2004 at 1:00 PM, with funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM., interment to take place in Oak Point Anglican Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer Society.
