Obituary of Leo J. Sullivan
It is with great sadness that the family of Leo J. Sullivan announce his death on his 87th birthday, August 29th, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John in 1917, he was the son of the late William and Mary (O'Leary) Sullivan. Leo was the last surviving member of his family of seven siblings. He was predeceased by his son, Jerry in 1981. Leo is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Eileen (Barton). He was a loving father to his children, Barb (Gregorsky), Ottawa, Greg, The Pas and Billy, Saint John. He will be sadly missed by his six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A life-long resident of Saint John, Leo was employed by National Packing, O'Keefe's Grocery, Crystal Ice & Oil, Gulf Oil and Vet's Taxi before retiring in 1984. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) with visiting on Monday and Tuesday, August 30 & 31, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Peters Church on Wednesday, September 1, 2004, at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. If friends so desire, remembrances to St. Bridget's Restoration Fund, Canadian Cancer Society or charity of their choice would be appreciated.
