Obituary of Rita Pearl Stevens

The death of Rita Pearl Stevens, wife of Roy G. Stevens, occurred on July 28, 2004, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late William and Rita (Sabean) Flynn. She sponsored under privileged children through World Vision. She enjoyed listening to older music. Besides her husband she is survived by her sons Gary (Bonnie), Bill (Darlene), Michael, Kevin, Roy Jr., her daughters Cindy (Dave) and Tammy (Kevin), brothers Joseph, Bernard, Willis and Kenneth Flynn, sisters Francis Bradley, Patricia Fowler, Ida Arseneau and Ellen Williston, her 16 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her daughter Wendy predeceased her. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424), with visiting on Friday from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2004, at 10:30 AM, from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
