Obituary of Marion Elizabeth Bennett
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marion Elizabeth (Simpson) Bennett, widow of Leo Bennett, who passed away peacefully in her home in Saint John, NB surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 23, 2004. She will be remembered with much love and affection by her two children: son, Tom (Wendy) Bennett and daughter, Sharon (Randy) Saunders; grandchildren: Andrew, Andrea (Kris), Krista, Jennifer and Scott; great-grandchildren: Justin and Cassidy; her friends, including Colin Kennedy and especially her faithfully devoted friend, Marilyn (Herb) Nash. Before staying at home to raise her family, she was employed at McAvity's and the Saint John Power Commission. Born in Saint John on November 15, 1920, Marion was a daughter of the late Harold and Ruby (Carroll) Simpson. She was predeceased by her brother, Doug Simpson and sister, Irene (Simpson) Elder. She also had a great love and respect for her Aunt and Uncle, Catherine and Thomas Needham. She enjoyed the company of her family and friends and will be remembered for her laughter and wittiness. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Sunday, December 26, 2004 from 7-9 pm and on Monday, December 27, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Friends and family will take part in a Funeral Service from Brenan's Chapel on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at 1pm. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens following the service.
