Obituary of Beatrice Winnifred Record
Record, Beatrice Winnifred- The death of Beatrice Winnifred Record of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Ranford Record, occurred on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at the Church of St. John & St Stephen Nursing Home. Born in Saint John, on July 21, 1910, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Kathleen (Dunn) Downey. Beatrice was a member of St. Pius X Church and the North End Silver Threads Seniors Club. She is survived by son, Joseph of Prince George, BC; two daughters, Joan Worden of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB and Gloria Moore of Saint John; three sisters, Grace Dryden and Hortense Hanley, both of Saint John and Constance (Joseph) DeMatteo of Hamilton, ON; seven grandchildren, Barry, Lynn, Mark, Michael, Stephen, Kelly, and Randy; fourteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Margaret Record; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two sons, Donald and Daniel; two brothers, Joseph and Clement Downey; two sons-in-law, Frank Moore and Bonny Worden; and two brothers-in-law, George Dryden and Daniel Hanley. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Thursday and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Church, Somerset Street, Saint John on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 10 am. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to St. John & St. Stephen Nursing Home or any charity of choice.
