Obituary of Ruth M. Watters
Watters, Ruth M. … The death of Ruth M. Watters, wife of the late James F. Watters, occurred on Thursday, February 27, 2008 at the Rocmaura Nursing Home, Saint John, NB. Born in Yarmouth, NS on February 16, 1916, she was a daughter of the late George E. and Laura I. Fenton. Ruth had been employed for fifteen years with Sears until her retirement in 1979. Survived by two sons, James F. (Gayle) of Stonecliffe, ON and Ronald (Theresa) of Saint John; a brother, Carl Fenton of Calgary, AB; a sister, Annabelle Kippenberger of Maine, USA; a sister-in-law, Agatha Harvey-MacAffee of Moncton, NB; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, James; a grandson, Kevin; five brothers, Raymond, Robert, Chesley, Charles and George; three sisters, Marguerite, Peggy and Sally. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Friday from 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2008 from Brenan’s Chapel at 10 am. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or any charity of choice.
