Obituary of Norman A. Lang
The death of Norman A. Lang of Saint John, occurred peacefully on Friday, September 21, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on June 27, 1927, he was the son of the late Alexander and Alvina (Legere) Lang. In his younger years, Norman was employed at the Saint John Dry Dock, the Long Shore and T.S. Simms. He is survived by one brother, Leonard Lang (Alexina) of Saint John, three sisters, Doreen Praught (Percy) of Saint John, Betty Murphy of Hamilton, ON and Eva Bailey of Saint John, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Jean Lang, in infancy and Theresa Richard. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at 2:30 PM, followed by cremation. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at a time to be announced. Remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
