With great sadness the family of Jean Fullerton announces the death of their beloved mother and grandmother on August 30, 2007 ( age 86) at the Church of St. John and St. Stephen nursing home. Born in Saint John on June 18, 1921, the daughter of John Medley and Mary Warneford (Roberts) Cody. Jean is survived by her brother John Medley Cody (Dot) of Liverpool N.S.; five children; Dianne (Richard) Fawcett, John (Patricia) Fullerton, Richard (Shirley) Fullerton, Lynne Fullerton all of Saint John, N.B. and Karen (Redvers) Saunders of New Glasgow, N.S.; 14 grand children Cody, Melissa, Mark, Denise, Darren, Heather, Melissa, Jenny, Jay, Mandy, Caitie, Kelly, Matthew, Zachary; and seven great grandchildren. Jean graduated from Saint John Vocational School in 1938 and the Chipman Memorial Hospital in St. Stephen in 1943 where she earned her nursing diploma. Jean was an active and involved mother and grandmother who took great pleasure in having her family around her and in helping them grow and prosper. Her presence and influence will be missed by all. For many years after her children were grown she taught English smocking in the city of Saint John. Jean was a life long member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church. The funeral will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Rothesay on Monday Sept. 3rd at 10 a.m. with interment at Long Reach United Church to follow. No visitation will be held. Brenan’s Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Donation to the St. John and St. Stephen Nursing home or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
