Obituary of Frederick Alexander Ward

The death of Frederick Ward of Saint John occurred on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on May 20, 1936 in Chatham, he was the son of the late Robert and Jean (Landry) Ward. Fred is survived by his sisters, Theresa Mitchell (Allan) of Youngs Cove and Judy Towers of Moncton; niece, Tammy Mitchell (Dale Gesner); nephews, Tommy Mitchell and Adam Mitchell (Julie Fanjoy); close friend, Terry Chamberlain; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brothers, Richard "Ricky" and Joseph "Joe" Ward. In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no visiting or funeral service. Interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
