Obituary of Stanley Garfield Frazee
Frazee, Stanley Garfield … The death of Stanley G. Frazee of Saint John, NB, in his 91st year, husband of the late Gertrude (Bailey) Frazee, occurred on Friday, August 3, 2007 at the Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Cecil Garfield and Mary Eliza (Brown) Frazee. “Stan the Man” loved life with singing and entertaining the residents and nurses at the Villa during his last six years. He was a wonderful husband and father and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He started working for the Telegraph Journal at the early age of nine, delivering morning papers before going to class at school. He sold insurance for Excelsior Life and also worked for a few years with General Bakeries delivering bread and cakes in the Rothesay area before returning to the Telegraph Journal … Evening Times Globe from where he retired. Upon retirement he delivered flowers for Paul’s Flower Shop until he reached 78 years of age. He enjoyed swimming, travelling and his church, Forest Hills Baptist, where he was a member having served in several positions. Survived by one daughter, Carol (Mike) Magee of Saint John; two sons, Gerald of Saint John and David of Toronto, ON; two grandchildren, Bob (Heather) Magee and Brenda Magee, all of Saint John; five great-grandchildren: Justin, Melissa, Ryan, Colleen and Chris; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister, Bea Vanallan in 2006. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Monday and Tuesday, August 6 & 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Forest Hills Baptist Church, McAllister Drive on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 11 am. Interment will be in Fernhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Loch Lomond Villa Foundation or Forest Hills Baptist Church.
