Obituary of Joyce Marguerite Garnett
The death of Joyce Marguerite Garnett of Kennebec Manor and formerly of Donaldson Street, Saint John, wife of the late Ronald B. Garnett, occurred on Friday, February 15, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Sussex, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Gertrude (Friars) Anderson. Joyce was an active member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church, and was also a member of the Friends of Hospice, the Beaus and Belles Square Dance Club, and was a former member of the Thisle St. Andrews Curling Club. She was a founding leader of the Girl Guides in Millidgeville. Joyce is survived by her children, David R. Garnett (Mary Astorino) of Quispamsis and his children, Britta and Ashley; Heather J. King (Barry) of Cambridge, Ontario and her children Jeff, Steve, and Jaclyn; and Cheryl A. Kyle (Ken) of Saint John and her children Meghan and Andrew. Joyce was predeceased by a brother, Wallace Anderson. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday from 7-9 PM and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 2:00 PM from St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Main Street North. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances to Hospice of Saint John or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. www.brenansfh.com
