Obituary of Mary Bridget Herrington
Mary passed away at her home on Cameron Road, Rothesay on Monday, May 18, 2009 with her sons at her side, in her 96th year. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A hardworking woman with a love for birds, flowers, blueberry picking and the game of bridge. Predeceased by her husband Bayard in 1988, she is survived by her son Edward “Ted” (who cared for her at home with devotion) and Max (Nancy) of Saint John; grandchildren: Bruce (Lisa) Herrington, Beth Jones (Brett) and Mary-Ann Roy (Rick); great grandchildren: Abby, Katie, and Mallory Herrington (and one on the way / Mary-Ann and Rick) (we love you Nana) and several nieces and nephews. At Mary’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family committal service will be held in Fernhill Cemetery at a later date. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise, Saint John (634-7424). Remembrances of Mary may be made to War Amps of Canada or the charity of the donor’s choice. We will always love you Mom.
