Obituary of Clarence Lester Campbell
Campbell, Clarence Lester: 1914-2008. From the Saint John Regional Hospital Clarence went home to be with his Lord December 2nd, predeceased by his beloved wife, Dorothy Oram in 1991; brothers Burton, Clayton, Leonard and Ernest Andrews. Survived by four daughters: Rev. Barbara (Rev. Fred) Day; Andrea (Daniel) McCormick, and Pamela Robichaud all of Saint John area; Ardeth (Roy) Dunbar of Lake Cowachin, BC; one son (Clarence) Darryl Campbell of Cambridge-Narrows; one sister, Marjorie (Winston) Smith and one brother Ralph Campbell; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Clarence was a Stevedore with ILA Local 273, a member of the ILA in Toronto and a painter by trade. He was a faithful and long-time member of Full Gospel Assembly. He was a member of the Spice of Life and the Bible Study Group. By request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at Full Gospel Assembly Saturday, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Lindsay Burt and Rev. Fred Day officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to “Dare2Live” Youth Ministry, C/O Full Gospel Assembly, PO Box 758, Saint John, NB, E2L 4B3, would be appreciated by the family. Further information: 633-4956. A private graveside service was held at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Benan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, New Brunswick, (506-634-7424).
