Obituary of Joseph Colin Maher
Surrounded by his family, Joe Maher passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, January 4, 2009. He was born in Saint John on December 20, 1953. Joe was a mechanic by trade, working out of his own garage. In his spare time he loved to go fishing with his good friend Doug. Joe is survived by his partner, Leona Ramdawar; two daughters: Jolene Estey (Jason) of Grand Bay-Westfield and Jennifer Campbell (Sean) of Nerepis; their mother, Jane Maher; three sisters: Gail MacDonald (John) of Saint John, Heather Palmer (Dwight) and Cathy McKeown (Percy) both of Grand Bay-Westfield; four grandchildren: Jayla Maher, Jade Ramdawar, Zakary Estey and Alicia Campbell and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Alice (Maher) Robison and father, Kenneth Robison. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Chapel on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 1:00 pm. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Cancer Research Society. www.brenansfh.com
