Obituary of Donald Vail Wagner
The death of Donald Wagner, of Metcalf Street, Saint John occurred on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born on September 1, 1928 to the late Glen and Vera (MacDonald) Wagner. Donald was employed with Lantic Sugar and also worked as a bartender at the Air Force and Buffalo Clubs. He is survived by three daughters, Wendy Turner (Chris) of Edmonton AB, Krista Prince (Jerome) of Abbotsford, BC and Sheryl Wagner of Vancouver, BC; one sister, Loreen Gallant of Keswick, ON; eight grandchildren: Ashley, Melanie, Stephen and Martin Turner and Sarah, Moriah, Benjamin and Daniel Prince; cousin, Joyce Stacey (John) of Saint John; several more cousins, nieces and nephews and his special friend of over 20 years, Margaret McAuley. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 1 pm. Interment will take place in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Upham, NB. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
