Obituary of Mona Anne Black
The death of Mona Black of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Walter Chester Black occurred on Friday, February 20, 2009 at the Kings Way Care Centre. Born in Saint John on April 28, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Catherine (Phillips) Connolly. She is survived by her three sons, Robert (Barbara) of Cambridge Narrows, NB; Kevin (Sheri) of Quispamsis, NB and Wendell (Cindy) of Millidgeville, NB; four grandchildren, Stephanie, Tricia, Adam and Natasha Black; two sisters, Kaye Holland and Nancy Arseneault; two special nephews, Donnie and Mike O’Dell and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two sisters, Doris O’Dell and Pat Bouchie; two brothers, Gerry and Owen Connolly and one nephew, John O’Dell. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Saturday from 7-9 pm and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Waterloo Street, on Monday, February 23, 2009 at 12:05 pm. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Mental Health Association or any charity of the donor’s choice. www.brenansfh.com
