Obituary of Vivian Iris White
Iris White, wife of the late Fred E. White Jr., formerly of the Glen Road, Saint John passed away peacefully at her residence Kennebec Nursing Home on Friday, June 27, 2008. She was born on September 20, 1914 in Saint John to the late Albert and Christine Pearl (Belyea) Chittick. Iris was a licensed amateur radio operator since 1938 and was a Life Member Loyalist City Amateur Radio Club. She is survived by her daughter Roberta Clark (Paul Baxter) of Rothesay, NB; two grandchildren: Kathrine Clark of Saint John, NB and Stanley Clark (Sue) of Ottawa, ON; two great grandchildren: Christine and Timothy Clark. Besides her parents, Iris was predeceased by one sister Margaret Griffin and two brothers: Arthur and Albert Jr. Chittick. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Monday, June 30, 2008 at 1pm. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Romero House or the charity of the donor’s choice.
