Obituary of Paul David Pitman
Pitman, Paul David … The death of Paul Pitman of Saint John, NB, husband of Deborah (Dobbin) Pitman occurred on Sunday, January 18, 2009 at his residence. Born in Saint John on April 25, 1946, he was a son of the late Bowman Bernard and Dorothy Pauline (Pitman) Pitman. Paul had been employed with APEX (Wolseley) until his retirement in 2006. He was a member of Silver Falls United Church where he had been a Sunday School Teacher and Scout Leader. He coached Little League for East Saint John and softball for Loch Lomond. He enjoyed traveling on Cruise Ships, golfing and was a member of the Hampton Curling Club. Besides his wife of 42 years, he is survived by a son, James of Calgary and a daughter, Stacie (Kevin) Crothers of Quispamsis, NB; a brother, Charles (Marilyn) of Grand Bay … Westfield, NB; three grandchildren, Avery, Meghan and Jacob; an aunt, an uncle, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 11:30 am. Interment will be in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances may be made to the Hampton Curling Club or any charity of choice. www.brenansfh.com
