Obituary of Harold Grattan Quinlan
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Harold Grattan Quinlan, husband of the late Harriet Quinlan, announces his passing on August 18, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was a son of the late Grattan and Margaret (McAuley) Quinlan.
Harold worked for the Port of Saint John all his life and was a proud member of ILA Local 273. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing at his camp. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Harold is survived by his sister, Marjorie Cosman (the late Ralph) of Saint John; great-nephew, Kenneth Dallon (Crystal) of Willow Grove, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to his wife and parents, Harold was also predeceased by his brothers, Daniel, Bernard (the late Jean), Walter, Arthur (the late Doris), Gordon and infant, Leo; sisters, Carmel Dallon (the late Ken) and infant, Theresa; great-nephew, Bernard Dallon.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM from St. Joseph’s Church, 4347 Loch Lomond Road. Interment to take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
