Obituary of Shirley Lorraine Crawford
Surrounded by her family, Shirley Crawford passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, January 2, 2009. She was born on April 22, 1938 to the late W. Frederick and Lillian M. (Golding) Bursey. Shirley worked and volunteered in the Health Care Industry for most of her life. She is survived by three sons: Don (Kathy) of Black River, Todd (Sherry) of Saint John and Paul (Pam) of Pocologan; two daughters: Debbie Anderson of Chance Harbour and Cindy Thorne (Gilberto Martinez) of Saint John; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her companion Alison Jay and her five brothers. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of donor’s choice. The family would like to thank Jean Bursey for all she done for mom.
