Obituary of Lorraine Ann Ougler
The death of Lorraine A. Ougler of Saint John, wife of the late J. George Ougler, occurred unexpectedly at home on Monday, June 9, 2008 at her residence. Born at Saint John, she was a daughter of the late John Alexander and Beulah Gertrude (Craft) Ricketts. Lorraine enjoyed her times at the family cottage, “Shangri-la”, and was a member of Portland United Chuch, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School at one time. Lorraine also had an affection and a gift for gardening. She is survived by her son, J. Jeffrey G. Ougler of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario; a brother-in-law, Henry Ougler and his wife Beulah of Saint John; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including a special cousin Grace Craft of Saint John. Lorraine was predeceased by two sisters, Doris Sullivan and Norma Heyman. Although there will be no visitation time, relatives and friends are invited to gather for a graveside funeral service which will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery, Manawagonish Road, Saint John. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. The funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
