Obituary of Foster Clark Parfitt
The death of Foster C. Parfitt, husband of the late Diane (Brockway) Parfitt , of Saint John East occurred unexpectedly on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on September 29, 1937 he was a son of the Late Alfred and Grace (Thurston) Parfitt. Foster was a life long resident of Saint John and was educated in city schools and was employed for many years with Saint John Energy. He was a model train enthusiast and for over twenty five years was involved with and was a founding member of the Saint John Society of Model Rail Roaders. Foster was involved in youth soccer and minor hockey and was a member of Albion Lodge No 1 F&AM . He was member of Silver Falls United Church. Foster was predeceased by his parents his wife Diane, three sisters and four brothers. Foster is survived by one son Troy Parfitt of Millidgeville, one daughter Kim Clowater(Todd)of Saint John East one brother Dalton (Buster)of Saint John , special friend Mary Sullivan and several nephews and nieces. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Monday from 7 to 9pm and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will held from Brenan’s Chapel on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 11:30 am. followed by a reception at Brenan’s with interment to follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
