Obituary of Marion Rachel Mason
Surrounded by her family, the death of Marion Mason, wife of Robert Mason for 68 years, occurred on December 25, 2008 at the Kings Way Care Center. She was born on April 23, 1917 in Cedar Camp, NB to the late William and Rachel (Chambers) Cunningham. Marion was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was employed at the Champlain Heights Convience Store. Marion was a member of St. James Anglican Church (Lakewood). She is survived by one son, Robert (Irene) of Cedar Camp, NB; two daughters: Ruth West (Roger) of Shelburne, NS and Elizabeth Myles (Michael) of Oak Bank, MB; two brothers: Ernest Cunningham (Phyllis) and Harvey Cunningham (Janet); one sister: Elizabeth Koven (Sam); one brother in-law, Charles Warner; one sister in-law, Joan Cunningham; 12 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Marion was predeceased by four brothers: William, Alton, Earl and Asa Cunningham and two sisters, Dorothy Collupy, Evelyn McInerney. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Monday, December 29, 2008 from 12:30 – 2:30 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2:30 PM in Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the Kings Way Care Center. A special thank you to the staff of the Kings Way Care Center for the excellent care given to Marion.
