Obituary of Ford Hubley
The death of Ford Hubley of Cedar Street, Willow Grove, husband of the late Pearl Marguerite (Tanner) Ford, occurred at his residence on Thursday, July 03, 2008. He was born in New Germany, Nova Scotia and was the son of the late Stephen and Emma (Beals) Hubley. Ford had various jobs with the last being at the Halifax Dock Yard until his retirement in 1972. Ford is survived by two sons, Gerald Hubley (Brenda) of Dean’s Corner, Nova Scotia, and Franklyn Hubley of West Northfield, Nova Scotia; two daughters, Maxine Spear of Willow Grove, New Brunswick, and Carolyn Conrad (Lynn) of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia; 17 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Ford was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Margaret Hubley; brothers Maurice, Clarence, and Fred; and by sisters Laura and Roweena. Resting at the Calvary Temple, 510 Main Street, Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, with visiting on Saturday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm, at which time the funeral service will be held. Interment will take place in Park Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the ALS Society or to any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. The funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424).
