Fred was a Past President of the Rothesay Kings Rotary Club and a recipient of the Paul Harris Award from that club. He was a member of St. David’s United Church, Rothesay, and in past years was active in many of their groups. Fred enjoyed golfing at Riverside Golf and Country Club before becoming too involved in building two cottages on the Bay of Fundy where he and June had many happy hours with family and friends.
