Obituary of Delores Ramona Bloom
The death of Delores R. (Debbie) Bloom, of Saint John, wife of the late Bernard Bloom, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, June 20, 2009. Born in Letete, NB she was a daughter of the late Burpee and Jennie (Matthews) Tucker. Debbie spent the greater part of her life in Saint John were she attended the Saint John General Hospital School of Nursing graduating in 1950. She was involved in the Simonds Lion Club for many years, Hadassah-Wizo Sisterhood, Shomer Club, Chevra Kadisha longtime member of the Congregation Shaarei Zedek. Debbie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by a sister Marlene Olsen and 2 brothers Burpee Tucker Jr. and Arthur Tucker. She is survived by 1 daughter Bryna L. Burtch of Ottawa Ontario, 1 granddaughter Kendal Burtch of Ottawa, Ontario 1 son Phillip A. Bloom (Diane) of Saint John, 1 sister Shirley Lieberman (Mark Fisher) of Kingston, Ontario, 2 sisters in law, Pauline Tucker of Fredericton, NB, and Betty Fineberg (Elliott) of Halifax, Nova Scotia and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424). Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 22, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to take place in Shaarei Zedek Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Building Fund Congregation Shaarei Zedek, Canadian Arthritis Society or the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family. www.brenansfh.com
