Obituary of Lorraine Hilda Nichols
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Lorraine Hilda (Bailey) Nichols, wife of Leonard Nichols which occurred on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Nova Scotia she was a daughter of the late Kingsley and Rita Jane (Kirkpatrick) Bailey. She was employed with MRA as a seamstress, loved to go dancing and playing cards. She is survived by two sons: Barry Nichols of Rothesay and Stephen Nichols of Woodman’s Point; one daughter: Shelley Charlton (Rick) of Quispamsis; two sisters: Audrey Crawford and Patricia Osborne (Joseph) both of Saint John; eight grandchildren: Stephanie McCrory (Darrell), Vanessa Chamberlain (Luke), Adam Charlton, Carly Barsalow (Jeff), Alexandra Nichols, Matthew Nichols, Shawn Nichols and Ryan Nichols; two great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Chamberlain and David Chamberlain; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by one brother: Richard; two sisters: Marlene and Reta Marie; two brothers-in-law: Gordon and "Crow" Leonard.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, with visiting on Wednesday September 12, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
