Obituary of Frederick James Trott
The death of Fred Trott of Summerville, NB occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on November 22, 2008. He was born in Saint John a son of the late Charles H. and Mary A. (Nugent) Trott. Fred was a life long resident of the Saint John area. He had been employed as a longshoreman on the Saint John waterfront for many years and was a member of Local 273 ILA. Fred was a Veteran of World War II and Korea having served in the Canadian Army with the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Moss Glen Branch #62, and was an avid hunter of ducks and deer. He is survived by his daughter, Colleen White of Saint John; two granddaughters: Angela and Ashley White; one brother and eight sisters. Besides his parents, Fred was predeceased by his son, Frederick (Freddy) Barker, two brothers and one sister. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at 11:00 am. Following cremation interment will be in Fernhill Cemetery. A Tribute to a Veteran Service will be held on Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm.
