Obituary of Sean Michael Dempster

Unexpectedly, Sean Dempster, loving husband of Joanne (Babineau) Dempster, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born in Saint John on August 7, 1964 to Roberta (Rossiter) Dempster and the late Glen Dempster. Sean was a foreman for Master Mechanical (LNG) and current President for Local 213 Plumbers and Pipefitters. Sean loved his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and weekends at the cottage. Besides his loving wife, Joanne, Sean is survived by their children: Jacob Liam and Lauren Alice; sister, Stacey Graves (Loran); nephew, Devon Dempster; niece, Emily Graves; mother and father in-law, Robert and Darlene Babineau; sister in-law Michelle Babineau; brother in-law Robert Babineau Jr.; two uncles: Tom (Diane) Rossiter and Ora Dempster; aunt, Patricia Thompson and his best friend, Andy Getchell. Sean was predeceased by his father and his grandparents: Bernard and Lulu Rossiter and Ora and Marguerite Dempster. Sean was a terrific husband and extraordinary dad. His family and friends are heartbroken by this great loss including his boxer Mulligan. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 2-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 12:05 pm. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
