Obituary of Caroline Elizabeth Parlee
Parlee, Caroline Elizabeth … The death of Caroline Elizabeth Parlee of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Dr. H. Bruce Parlee, occurred on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Green Road, NB on May 14, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Margaret (Nason) Carson. Caroline was a graduate of Mount Allison University (B.A.), she had lived a long and wonderful life and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Volunteering at the Saint John High School, the Music Festival and helping anyone in need. She loved animals and had had many pets and was a long time member of Centenary Queen Square Church. She is survived by her children, Robert Parlee of Saint John, Dr. Katherine Parlee (Dr. John Turnbull) of Hamilton and Donald (Wendy) Parlee of Green Road, NB; three grandchildren, Margaret “Maggie” Turnbull, Patrick Turnbull and Katherine Parlee; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by two brothers, Wilbur and Harry Carson and a sister, Margaret Ward. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424. At Caroline’s request there will not be any visiting or funeral service at this time. Remembrances may be made to the SPCA or any charity of choice.
