Obituary of Arthur James Miller
The death of Arthur J. Miller, of Rothesay, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, October 12, 2008. He was born in Rothesay on October 2, 1923 to the late George and Catherine (Darcus) Miller. Arthur was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican church in Rothesay. For the past 36 years he held a garden party, beginning at his cottage and then his residence for the seniors in the Kings County area. Arthur was a well known real estate developer and was known for giving back to his community. He is survived by four sisters: Audrey Pooley of Saint John, Betty Miller, Joan Byers and Helen Withrow all of Rothesay; a sister-in-law, Yannie Miller; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Arthur was predeceased by three brothers: Harry, Usher and Jordan and three sisters: Constance and Muriel Miller and Phyllis Lamb. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Rothesay, NB on Thursday, October 16th, 2008 at 2:30 PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice. *PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN VENUE*
