Obituary of Albert Kenneth McInerney
McInerney, Albert Kenneth The death of Albert Kenneth McInerney occurred on June 29, 2008 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born in Saint John on September 15, 1924 he was the eldest child of Albert Joseph and Amy Rosetta (Parks) McInerney. He grew up in Lakewood and served during WW II with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corp. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 14. A painter by trade he worked for J. H. Pullen Company in Saint John prior to moving to Cape Cod, MA and Largo, FL where he was employed as an electrician at Belleview Biltmore Hotel until his retirement. He spent his retirement years between Saint John and Largo, FL before his move into Rocmaura Nursing Home. Ken is survived by his wife Ina (Scovil) McInerney and her family, Connie Friars, Jimmy (Ann) Crozier and Carl Crozier; his sister Genevieve Alward and her family, Lorraine (George) Crawley, Colleen (Bob) Hamilton, Cathy (Gary) Thibodeau; brother-in-law, Winfield Young; several nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, his sisters, Audrey Young and Doreen Conway, and his brothers-in-law Greg Conway and William Alward predeceased him. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be Thursday, at 11:00 am, from Brenans Chapel. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances made to Rocmaura Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. www.brenansfh.com
