Obituary of Joyce Elizabeth Blizzard
Blizzard, Joyce - The death of Joyce Blizzard of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Percy W. Blizzard, occurred on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on July 6, 1939, a daughter of the late Joseph and Winnifred (South) Nesbitt. Joyce had been employed for many years with Northern Telecom. She was a member of Torch for Truth Tabernacle, enjoyed Country & Western Style Music and long drives in the country. Survived by two sons, Ricky and David (Theresa) Blizzard; one daughter, Debra Blizzard of Fredericton, NB; one sister, Patricia (Robert) McLellan; four grandchildren, Jonathan, Jeremy, Jillian and Kelly (Peter) Breau; two great-grandchildren, Dante and Jayden; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Percy “Whipper” in 2005; two sons, Wade Douglas and John Wayne; two brothers, James and Brian Nesbitt. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 1 pm. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.
