Obituary of Ronald Leon Hutchinson
Ronald Leon Hutchinson, husband of Marilyn Hutchinson of Cambridge Ave, Quispamsis passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Collingwood, Ont, on October 14, 1931. Ron was the son of the late Roy and Edna Hutchinson. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughter, Judith (Bruce) Eden and family; son, Lindsay and family; sister, Rita (Arnold) Schaus; twin brother, Donald (Berthe) Hutchinson; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother, Glenn. Ron was well know in Saint John selling cars for Downey Motors and later opening and operating Ron’s Discount Centre Ltd, Hutchinson’s Appliances Sales and Service Ltd until 1993 and Ron’s Quik Mart. He attended St. David’s United Church in Rothesay. Ron was a member of St. John’s Lodge # 2 (Masonic); Saint John Chapter #14, Order of the Eastern Star and Luxor Shrine. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Masonic Service followed by an Eastern Star Service will take place on Friday at 6:30 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Saturday at 11:30 am. Interment to take place at a later date. Remembrances may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice. www.brenansfh.com
