Obituary of Michael John Saia
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael John Saia, of Saint John, who peacefully passed at his home on Friday, September 21, 2018. Mike was born on July 18, 1954 in Boston, Mass., he was a son of the late Ellen and John Saia.
Mike was loved by his two daughters, Lisa (Lorne Grant) and Amy (Rick Tobin); granddaughters, Amanda (Guy), Ashley (Jamie) and Ariel; grandsons, Bradley and Brandon; great-granddaughter Summer and great-grandson Michael, who was named after his great-grandfather.
Mike was strong in his faith and projected this to whoever he met, for this reason he is a very happy man to finally go home with his Father.
Mike was employed with the Prop Doc for many years up until his retirement due to illness, and had made many friends through the company. He loved to be in the outdoors, hunting and especially fishing.
He is survived by his immediate family and his brothers, Bobby and Johnny, of USA; sisters, Anne of USA and Ellen of Sussex; nieces, Sue-Ellen and Angela and nephew Joe, all of Saint John; and many more nieces and nephews in Canada and USA. He was predeceased by his parents, brother George and sister Joyce, of USA.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Wednesday, September 26 from 6-8 PM and Thursday, September 27 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
