Obituary of Loretta Eva Buck

BUCK, “Dolly” Loretta Eva– age 88, Dartmouth, NS, and formerly of Saint John, NB passed away September 21, 2010 at Northwood Centre, Halifax, NS. Born in Little River, Saint John, NB on July 25, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Eva (Vair) and Walter Beyea. She is survived by her daughter, Heather Wills, Dartmouth, NS and grandsons Rob and Ryan Wills, who were her pride and joy and with whom she resided; special Grandson, Leonard (Wanda) Myers, Alberta; daughters, Marjorie (Paul) Moore and Margaret (Willie) Myers; stepchildren, Denton (Marilyn) Buck, Arnold (Donna) Buck, Darrell (Doreen) Buck, Margaret (Arthur) Sprague, all of Saint John. Dolly is also survived by brother, Eldon (Eleanor) Beyea, Saint John, and sister, Audrey (Harold) Magee, Salisbury, NB; many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Buck in 1981; stepson, Norville (Helen) Buck; brother, Lawrence ‘Sonny’ (Doreen) Beyea; sisters, Barbara (Larry) McElman and Jean (Frank) Lortie. Dolly was a member of St. James Church Lakewood, Loch Lomond Senior Citizens Club, and a Honourary member of the PC Association of NB. After moving to Dartmouth in 1992, she became a member of the Campbell’s Senior Citizen Club where she enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her many friends. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Brenans Funeral Home, Saint John and J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax. By request, there will be no visitation. Friends are invited to gather from 2 – 4 pm on Tuesday, September 28 at Campbell’s Senior Club 16A Circassion Drive, Dartmouth, NS. Interment will be held in Fernhill Cemetery, Saint John, at a later date. The family would like to thank Dr. M. Mushin, Nurses, and staff of the Dartmouth General Hospital 4th Floor TCU. Your loving care and kindness to Mom will always be remembered. Special Thanks to Dr. J. MacGregor, Nurses, staff, and the Hospice Care Team at Northwood 6 Center for your kind words and the dignity shown not only to Mom in her final days, but to the family as well. You are all angels and will always be remembered for your thoughtfulness.
