I heard of your father through Bishop Mary and was privileged to visit and take him communion. As an old Montrealer we would share our stories of our Quebec days. We had wonderful chats, which I will miss. May he rest in the peace of Christ. My condolences to you and your family. Robyn+

Sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I spoke with him a few times each week while helping serve meals at Embassy. A very nice, quiet man who I had the pleasure of meeting.

My condolences to the family. I loved Bob's commentaries on the readings at Holy Trinity in Ste. Agathe and I admired his kind and gentle manner. I always felt as though he was really listening when I spoke with him and I felt honoured when he and Doone asked me to help them sell their much loved property on Lac Manitou. It was an honour and a great pleasure to have known Mr. Overing. A rare human being.

I spent many a happy time with Bob in the back woods of Lac Manitou, the Upper Laurentians, and even the wilds of Siberia. He enriched my love of the outdoors, and we always had great conversations over a wide range of subjects. I always enjoyed my times with him. Josie and I sent our sympathies to Doone and the rest of his family. Derek Anderson Josie Hails

Dale and Cheryl Kennedy posted a condolence
Dale and I were very sad to hear of your dad's passing. He was an extraordinary man who certainly lived life to the fullest. I had so much admiration for him when he regularly showed up to do Yoga with his fellow residents; no posture was too difficult for him. It was certainly obvious that your dad cultivated many special memories with his family that will live on as you celebrate his life. Our thoughts are will you all during this time - Blessings Dale and Cheryl Kennedy
