Obituary of Audrey Margaret Pooley
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Audrey (Miller) Pooley, wife of the late Ralph L. Pooley which occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Monday, November 28, 2011. She was born on October 25, 1920 in Rothesay to the late George and Katherine (Darcus) Miller. She was a devoted wife, mother and sister and will be greatly missed by her family. Audrey was a member of various churches through the Saint John and Rothesay area. She worked at Manchester, Robertson and Allison Department Store and also at the Bank of Nova Scotia, Main Branch. Audrey is survived by her daughter, Rosalie Pooley (Domenico Scichilone) of Quispamsis; sisters, Betty Miller, Joan Byers and Helen Withrow all of Rothesay; sister-in-law, Jannie Miller; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, parents and brothers, Arthur Miller, Jordan Miller, Harry Miller and Usher Miller; sisters, Muriel Miller, Phyllis Lamb and Constance Miller. At Audrey’s request there will be no formal visitation. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 1:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, Paradise Row. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). In lieu of flowers remembrances to the Alzheimer Society or the Rocmaura Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
