Obituary of Viola Reah Jones
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Viola Reah Jones of Saint John, wife of Perry Jones, which occurred on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Boiestown on February 15, 1926, she was a daughter of the late, Joseph and Tressa Munn. Viola loved life and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her great-granddaughter, Carrie McLeod who was the apple of her eye. She also loved bowling and doing cameo paintings. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Perry Jones; son, Marcus S. (Bonnie) Jones of Saint John; four grandchildren, Clark Jones, Matthew Jones, Michael McLeod and Sandy (Arlene) McLeod; one great-granddaughter, Carrie McLeod; one brother, Hedley; three sisters, Florence, Ellen and Ada; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by infant son, Clark Perry Jones; daughter, Arlene Juliette Jones and five brothers, Percy, Edwin, Warden, Burton and Clarence. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 from 7-9 pm and Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 2:30 pm from Main Street Baptist Church. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
