Obituary of Doris Daphne Kuske
KUSKE, Doris Daphne Doris Daphne Kuske, wife of the late Harold Kuske, passed away on September 2nd, 2011, at the Saint John Residential Hospice, after a brief illness. Born at Upham on October 7, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Serena (Trainor) Fowler. Doris worked at Red Rose Tea for many years, and enjoyed brook fishing, and gardening. She is survived by her son Wayne (Linda) Garnett, daughter Gail (Donald) Grimmer, son-in-law Howard Dryden, step daughter Sandra Kuske (David), brother Norman Fowler, eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and second husband, Doris was predeceased by her first husband, Donald Garnett, oldest daughter Linda Dryden, brother Gordon Fowler, and a sister, Gladys Cook. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00am from Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Hospice of Greater Saint John would be appreciated by the family.
