Obituary of Helen Rose Case
Helen Rose Case of Saint John, wife of the late Hollis George Case, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 16, 2012 at the St. John and St. Stephen Church Home, surrounded by her family. Born at Saint John on March 1, 1920, she was a daughter of the late James Francis and Marjorie (Friars) Stevens. Helen was a lifelong resident of Saint John and a member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church. She was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #64 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Silver Threads Senior Citizens Club. Helen is survived by her children, Brian D. Case (Sharon), Glen S. Case (Gail), Judy A. Murphy (Richard) and H. Maureen Ryan, all of Saint John; grandchildren Tracy Lynn Case, Tara Elizabeth Nutter (Chris), James Andrew Case (Ann), Shane Ryan Case (Roxanne), Sara Holly Case (Chris Steele), Shawna Leigh O’Donnell (Donald), Michael Ryan Murphy (Nicole), Andrew Hollis Patrick Murphy (Mia), Allison Elizabeth Ryan, and Ashley Lynn Ryan; great grandchildren Sophia Rose, Reese, Jackson, Payton, Olivia, Samantha, Jessica, and Samm; a great great grandson, Braydon; a sister, Catherine Patricia "Kay" Stevens of Saint John; and several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by a grandson, Matthew Robert; a sister, Josephine Smith; and by brothers Bede "Pete" Stevens and infant James Stevens. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday, March 19, 2012, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 3:00 PM from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.BrenansFH.com.
