Obituary of Mary Rueasia Daniel
Mary Rueasia Daniel of Musquash passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2011, following a period of failing health. Mary was born at New Ross, Nova Scotia on June 7, 1913, a daughter of the late Robert Roy and Harriet (Lowe) Daniel. Mary worked at various jobs throughout her lifetime, and was the oldest resident of Musquash, having lived in the same area since she was six years old. She enjoyed the outdoors, and often went hunting and fishing with her brothers, and in later years enjoyed sitting at her window watching the comings and goings of the area. Mary was also an avid reader, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mary was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Bertha Penny, Helen Belmore, Sinclair Daniel, Charles Daniel, and Dorothy Cole. She is survived by several nieces and nephews; a great nephew and his wife; and by close friends and neighbours Pat and Bev McKinley of Musquash. Although there will be no visitation time, relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside funeral service, which will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery, Manawagonish Road, Saint John. For those who wish, remembrances to any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. The funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.brenansfh.com.
