Obituary of Ruby Viola Wilson
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Ruby Viola (Ferris) Wilson of Saint John West, wife of the late Emery C. Wilson, which occurred on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was a daughter of the late W. Lee and Ida Mae (Hutchins) Ferris. Ruby was a life long resident of Saint John and had been employed for a number of years with Civic Hydro. She was a member of the Glen Falls Gems Seniors and a life member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church and an avid card player. She is survived by one son, Robert E. Wilson Sr. of Saint John West; one daughter, Judith A. Burgess (Malcolm Sr.) of Clifton Royal; six grandchildren, Robert E. Wilson Jr. (Louise), Bruce Wilson (Donna), Darlene Sheils (David), Malcolm Burgess Jr. (Judy), Scott Burgess (Tressa) and Alan Burgess (Pamela); several great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by three sisters, Mabel Engalls, Mildred Craft and Eileen Humphrey: one daughter-in-law, Mary Wilson. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 from St. Luke’s Church at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
