Obituary of Laura Eleanor Colpitts
It is with great sadness the family of Laura Eleanor (Young) Colpitts of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Charles Freeman Colpitts, passed on Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Carleton Kirk Lodge. Born in Petitcodiac, NB, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Mabel (Caldwell) Young. Laura is survived by two sons: Robert (Dawn) Colpitts of Saint John, and David Colpitts of Toronto; one sister: Jean Wilkie of British Columbia; two grandchildren: Luke (Jennie) and Rachel; two great-grandchildren: Jander and Sean; daughter-in-law, Faye Hicks; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by one son John Colpitts; two sisters: Phyllis Morton and Pauline Havig. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in Elgin Cemetery.
