Obituary of Leonard John Glazier
Leonard John Glazier of Saint John, husband of Mary Cecelia (Lavigne) Glazier, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Island River, NB, he was a son of the late Calixt and Emily (Cowan) Glazier. Leonard was employed with Atlantic Towing for 37 years, retiring in 1992. Many days he could be found at the McAllister Place Mall with a cup of coffee in his hands. In addition to his wife of nearly 60 years, Leonard is survived by his children, Connie Glazier of Montreal, QC, Nancy Beteridge (Douglas) of Quispamsis, Randy Glazier (Monica) of Sarnia, ON, and Blair Glazier (Kim)of Saint John; two brothers: Cowan Glazier (Madonna) and Glendon Glazier, both of Bathurst; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday, February 14, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 12:00 Noon from St. Joachim’s Church. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be placed at www.brenansfh.com.
