Obituary of Ernestine Mary Thibodeau
Ernestine Mary Thibodeau of Saint John, wife of the late Leondre Joseph Thibodeau, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 17, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Belledune on March 22, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Adel and Annie Guitard. Ernestine loved both flower and vegetable gardening, and adored her pets. Ernestine is survived by her children, Rita Blizzard (Doug) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Clarence Thibodeau (Wanda) of Saint John, and Doris Thibodeau of Saint John; grandchildren Tammy Thibodeau, Daniel Thibodeau (Leslie), Jenny Anderson (Robb), Emily Huntley (Trevor), and Ronald Cail (Amy); great grandchildren Madison, Peyton, Alivia, Wriece, and Quintin; sisters Edna Gallant (Emile) of Saint John and Miralda Hickey (Cecil) of Fredericton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Ernestine was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Guitard, and by a sister, Viola Guitard. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday, June 20, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Ann’s Church on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Animal Rescue League would be appreciated by the family.
