Obituary of Lillian Isabel Ledden
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing our wonderful mother on January 18th, 2012 at the Birches Nursing Home, in Musquodoboit Harbour, NS. Mom passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, as she left to dance down the streets of heaven with her love Arthur Ledden, into the presence of God. Born January 23, 1922 in Saint John, NB to the late Leslie Gordon Chamberlain and Mary (Gaffney) Chamberlain. She is survived by her children Cathey Halbert, Calgary; Ann Baker, Porter's Lake, NS; John (Susan) Ledden, Thompson, Man.; Les (Beverly) Ledden, Harrigan Cove, NS; Christine (Marcel) Deleseleuc, Head Jeddore, NS., and her loving sister Doreen Arbo. She had 22 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur R. Ledden, son Raymond D. Ledden, sister Joan Whitlock, brothers Gordon, Vincent, Gerald and Eldon Chamberlain. We would like to say a special thank you to the Nursing Staff and Care Givers at The Birches Nursing Home for the wonderful love and care given to Mom over the past year and a half. Also a special thank you to Dr. W. Brown and Doctors & Staff at the Musquodoboit Medical Clinic & Twin Oakes Hospital. Today Mom left us with her undying faith in God that we will all meet again in heaven. Rest peacefully now Mom, your pain is gone. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Friday from 7-9 pm, and Saturday from 10:00 -11:30 am. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.For those who wish, remembrances to the Birches Nursing Home, Musquodoboit Harbour, NS and the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
