Obituary of Joan Ann Anderson
The death of Joan Anderson of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Clarence "Duke" Anderson, occurred on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at her residence. Born in Saint John on April 8, 1930 she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Bertha (Kennedy) McCarthy. Joan loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the apple of her eye. She enjoyed spending time with her rummoli and bingo buddies at the Loch Lomond Villa, also playing tv bingo and going to the casino. She loved to travel. She is survived by her four children, Sharon (William) Breau of Saint John; Debra (Mark) LeBlanc of Saint John; Joan (John) Barry of Quispamsis and Susan (Richard) Thomas; nine grandchildren, Michael Breau, Michelle Daly, Jeffery Breau, Mark LeBlanc, Thomas LeBlanc, Jennifer Scribner, Jocelyn Barry, Travis Thomas and Amy Thomas; seven great-grandchildren, Courtney, David, Alyiah, Wiley, Dawson, Hunter and Nevaeh; four sisters, Helen McDonald of Saint John; Katherine Cole of Saint John; Christine Lavallée of Saint John and Constance Grasdale of Red Deer, Alberta. Predeceased by her husband and parents. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from 2-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 26, 2011 from St. Pius X Church at 11:00 am.
