Obituary of Carol Ann Valley
Unexpectedly the death of Carol Ann (Stevens) Valley of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Gilbert Valley, occurred on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at her residence. Born in Saint John she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Irene (Buckley) Stevens. Carol was employed as a nurse’s aid with Church of St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home. She volunteered for many organizations and enjoyed playing TV Bingo and radio contests with her niece Donna. Carol is survived by one daughter, Barbara Basque (Jacques Landry) of Losier Settlement; brothers, Greg Stevens (Carol) and Teddy Stevens; sister, Sonia Pye; sister-in-law, Therese Brideau and Claudette Losier; grandchildren, Allain (Pascale), Kevin (Amanda), Keith, Rene, Reno (Julie); great-granddaughter, Allison; special cousin, Norma Budgell; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Fran Blinn, Lucie Basque and Betty Lou Guimond. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday, February 14, 2011 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, at which time the funeral service will be held from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Tracadie-Sheila at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
