Obituary of Rhea J. Moody
Peacefully with her daughters and grandchildren Christine and Christopher by her side, Rhea Josephine Moody passed away on February 27, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born March 6, 1917 in Saint John, NB she was the eldest child of the late Roy and Ethel (nee Smith) Bell and the wife of the late William Richard Moody. She is cherished by her daughters Ruth (Laurance) Withers, Fairfield NB, and Susan (Stephen) McCavour Saint John, NB, by her grandchildren Ruth Anne Withers, Andrew (Charlene) Moore, Charles Withers, Paul (Natalie) Withers, Christine (Alex Williams) McCavour, Christopher McCavour. Great Grammy Rhea will be fondly remembered by her Great Grandchildren Kayla March, Jasmine and Jesse Moore, and Olivia and Kendra Withers. Rhea was always on the go, she was a member of the Church of St. Andrew and St. David in which she served on the U.C.W. and Quilter’s group, and was a life time member of the King’s Daughters Order. As her children grew older she became a book keeper for several years at Frank Fales & Sons. In her spare time Rhea was an avid bridge player. Through the years she has given her family a legacy of beautiful handwork through her quilting, crocheting, and knitting. Our most treasured work of hers is her tatted Christmas ornaments. R HEA J was predeceased by her husband and her siblings, Hugh Bell, Edna Robertson, Audrey Glover, John Wesley Bell and baby Lillian. She will be greatly missed by all the hearts she has touched with her kind and gentle manner.
